Breitenbush Lake

Breitenbush Campground sits on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, just north of the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness and close to the Pacific Crest Trail #2000. It is a closed site, with that closure tied to the Lionshead Fire. The nearest town is Breitenbush, about 9 miles away. The campground has limited facilities, with vault toilets and no garbage service. Visitors must pack out all trash. Because it is on reservation land, the Warm Springs rules apply. Fishing on Breitenbush Lake is restricted to those with a Warm Springs Fishing License, and motorized boats are not allowed. Non-motorized craft such as canoes and kayaks are permitted. Nearby, Gibson Lake and Pyramid Butte are both within a mile of the camp, and Horseshoe Lake (Olallie) is about 0.9 miles away. For paddling, the South Fork North Fork Breitenbush River is roughly 2.4 miles off.
