Apple Creek is a Forest Service campground in the North Umpqua Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest. It sits within the district's recreation sites, and the land is managed by the Forest Service. The site is simple, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. A fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 84°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 17 days. The North Umpqua Trail: Calf hike starts just 0.2 miles away. Panther Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 1.9 miles off, and Horseshoe Bend Campground is about 2.7 miles away. Bradley Ridge, a hike, is about 3.2 miles from the campground.
