Whiskey Run is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Ironton Ranger District of Wayne National Forest in Ohio, about 1.3 miles long with a total elevation gain of about 500 feet. The trail starts at roughly 700 feet and reaches a high point of about 850 feet before returning to the starting level. The climb is rolling, and the steepest stretch comes about halfway through, with a grade of about 19 percent. The trail is on natural surface and is not accessible. Bikes and horses are not allowed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Waterloo put May highs around 75°F and October highs around 68°F, with September and October seeing the fewest wet days of the year. The hike takes about half an hour, and the trail is open year-round. Oak Hill Campground is just 0.3 miles away, and Old Beach and Black Oak Trail are both within about 0.4 miles. Climbers can find The Dam Wall about 0.6 miles off.
