Walker Memorial Trail is a short, easy hike in Findley State Park in Ohio, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is about 1.3 miles long and is an out-and-back route, with a total round-trip distance of about 2.6 miles. The climb is gentle, with a total elevation gain of about 23 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 1.2 miles in, with a grade of about 6 percent. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Oberlin show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. Hickory Grove Trail is about 0.6 miles away. Paddlers can reach the West Branch Black River, about 3.3 miles off, and the East Branch Black River, about 6 miles away.
