Buckeye Trail (Medina) is a 56-mile point-to-point hike in Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio, managed by the National Park Service. The route rises from a low of about 800 feet to a high of 1,311 feet, with a total elevation gain of 2,135 feet. It is a hard hike, and the climb is back-loaded, meaning the steeper parts come later in the route. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stow run from highs around 70°F in May to about 74°F in September, with July peaking near 82°F. The trail passes within a short distance of several other routes. Buckeye Trail (Bedford) and Deer Lick Cave Trail both lie about 0.1 mile away, and White Oak Trail is about half a mile off. Climbers can find Chippewa Creek roughly a mile away.
