Parallel Universe is an easy out-and-back hike in Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio, set on city-managed land within the Shawnee Hills Golf Course. The route is short and steady, with a total length of about 1.3 miles and a total elevation gain of 212 feet from the low point at 854 feet to the high point at 932 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about half a mile in, with a 10% grade. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons for the walk. Typical averages from the nearby Cleveland Burke airport weather station run to highs around 68°F in May and 74°F in September, and the station sits roughly 350 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures up here run a little cooler. The hike pairs easily with other trails in the area. Friendship Trail is just 0.1 mile away and Moore Trails! is about 0.3 mile off. Eddie's Wildlife Pass and Volunteer Spirit are each about half a mile away.
