Cisler Trail is a short, easy hike in Ohio, about a mile long and with a total elevation gain of 156 feet. It is a point-to-point route, and the high point is 868 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.88 miles in, where the grade reaches 12 percent. The trail starts and ends within a tenth of a mile of the town of Emerson, making it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding area. The route is front-loaded, with the climb coming early. The total descent is 325 feet, so the trail works well as a short outing rather than a loop. Bikes are allowed, and there is no fee to use it. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall.
