Buckeye Trail (Bedford) is a long, steady climb through Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio, managed by the National Park Service. The route is a point-to-point trail of about 67 miles, with a total elevation gain of 3,412 feet. It starts at roughly 884 feet and reaches a high point of 1,232 feet before descending to a low of about 575 feet. The trail is rated easy, and it moves at a steady pace rather than through sharp climbs. The climb profile is consistent, and the route is part of the National Park Service's land in the park. Bikes and horses are not allowed on this section. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stow run to highs around 70°F in May and 74°F in September, with July peaking near 82°F. The trail passes close to other routes. Buckeye Trail (Medina) and Deer Lick Cave Trail are each about 0.1 mile away, and White Oak Trail is about half a mile off. Climbers can find Chippewa Creek about a mile away.
