Lower Wall is a climbing area in North Carolina, about 1.7 miles from the town of Quaker Gap. It sits among a cluster of named climbing walls, with Sunshine Wall and Over Easy Wall both about 0.1 mile away. The Pimp'n Wall and Cooks Wall Trail are similarly close, so it's easy to pair the area's rock with a short hike. The climbing here ranges from traditional routes to a single sport route, with grades from 5.10- up to 5.13+. Cruise Control is a 5.10- trad route, and Supercharger is a 5.13+ trad route. Adrenaline Junkies is the sport option at 5.11b/c. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Danbury weather station show October highs around 70°F with lows near 47°F, while July highs average about 87°F. That station sits roughly 936 feet lower than the area, so temperatures on the wall run cooler.
