V3PO Boulder is a bouldering area in North Carolina, about 1.6 miles from the community of Moores Springs. It sits among a cluster of bouldering spots, with Sentinel Buttress Boulderfield, Stu's Boulder and Omega Boulder all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the routes run from V0 to V3. The names include North Chewbacca (V0), It's A Trap (V1), Admiral Aretebar (V2) and The Kessel Run and V3PO (both V3). That makes it a compact, straightforward destination for climbers looking for a single V3 problem or a day of varied grades. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury, NC, run from highs around 70°F with lows near 44°F in April to highs near 70°F with lows around 47°F in October. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than this spot, so temperatures at the boulders tend to run cooler.
