The loop is short, about 0.4 miles out and back, with a total climb of 134 feet. It starts at roughly 2,090 feet and reaches a high of about 2,131 feet, with the steepest stretch at the beginning, around 5%. Winter is the natural season for this route. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Lake Placid show January highs around 23°F with lows near 6°F, while March runs a bit milder, with highs around 36°F. Several other ski routes sit close by, including Lower Rimrock and Upper Rimrock, each about 0.3 miles away, and Easy Side Drive at about 0.4 miles.
