Misfit Boulder is a bouldering area in New York, about 1.4 miles from the town of Pierrepont. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Lower West Side and The West Side both just 0.1 mile away. The area has eight bouldering problems, all graded on the V scale, with grades ranging from V0 to V9. The names of the routes add a quirky touch, including The Thruway Authority at V9 and The Complete Asian Cookbook at V7-8. The Misfit is a V6 route that shares its name with the boulder. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical July highs reach about 80°F with lows near 58°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station.
