Middle East Boulder is a bouldering area in Glenmeal State Forest in New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Rick Ross Boulder and Shippee's Slab each about 0.1 mile away and Blaze Wall about 0.4 mile off. The area is a bouldering destination, with nine routes all rated on the V scale from V0 to V3. The easiest are Consensual Complacency and The Ferocity Monstrosity at V0, and the hardest is E-Break at V3. The routes are all boulders, so there is no climbing on rock faces here. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 58°F, while January highs average about 26°F. Other boulders close by include Far East and Lower West Side, each within half a mile. For a hike, the Clarkson University Trail - Primary is about 9 miles away.
