Limbo

Limbo is a short, moderate mountain biking route on county land in Westchester, New York. It is an out-and-back of about a mile and a quarter, with a total elevation gain of about 230 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at the beginning, and the route reaches a high point of about 446 feet. The trail starts at an elevation of about 298 feet and descends to about 216 feet at the low point. The route sits on land managed by the County of Westchester, and it is about half a mile from the town of Shrub Oak. The nearest neighbors are the Yin and Yang mountain biking routes and the Bailey's hike, all within about a tenth of a mile. Blue Mountain Park, a climbing area, is about half a mile away. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from the nearby Shrub Oak weather station show July highs around 84°F and lows near 61°F. Winters there are cold, with January highs around 37°F and lows near 17°F.
