Kamargo Trail is a short mountain biking route in northern New York, about 0.3 miles from the town of Black River. The trail is an out-and-back with no elevation gain, which makes it an easy ride for a quick stop close to town. The route is just over a third of a mile long, with the highest point at 571 feet and the lowest at 561 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 5% grade near the start. The trail is so short that it works well as a warm-up or a break between longer rides in the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Watertown weather station run to highs around 80°F in July, while winter brings frequent snow days and highs near freezing. Several other trails lie within a few miles. Warrior Trail and Black River Trail are both hiking routes about 2 miles away, and the Deferiet River Trail, a mountain biking route, is roughly 5.6 miles off.
