Kamargo Trail is a short mountain biking route in northern New York, about half a mile from the village of Black River. It is a low-elevation ride, with a high point of 572 feet and no climb at all, so it works well as a quick stop or a warm-up before exploring more of the area. The trail is an out-and-back that is about 0.7 miles long. The steepest part comes at roughly 0.23 miles in, with a grade of about 11 percent, though it stays easy overall. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Watertown weather station run from highs around 75°F in June to about 80°F in July, with September easing back to the low 70s. Winter is cold and snowy, with January highs near 29°F and snow on about 12 days that month. Other trails sit within a few miles. Warrior Trail and Black River Trail are both hiking routes, and the Deferiet River Trail offers more mountain biking about 5 miles away.
