The D&H Canal Linear Park Towpath Trail is a flat, easy ride on county land in New York, set within Delaware and Hudson Canal Linear County Park. The route runs at a constant 525 feet, with no elevation gain, so it works well for a relaxed outing on a bike or on foot. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Middletown show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 73°F, with July the warmest month at about 82°F.
