The Raymond G. Esposito Trail is a short, easy hike in New York, about a mile long and rising just over 40 feet from its low point of 78 feet to a high of 132 feet. It is a point-to-point route, and the climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.3 miles in, where the grade reaches 10 percent. The nearest town is Grand View-on-Hudson, about 0.7 miles away. Bikes are allowed on the trail, according to a tag from OpenStreetMap contributors. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the Dobbs Ferry-Ardsley weather station, about 6.5 miles away, show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with July the warmest month at about 86°F. Several other trails sit close by. The Long Path Green Trail is about 0.7 miles away, the Yellow Trail about 1.4 miles, and the Mountain Trail about 1.8 miles.
