Little Chism is an easy, short out-and-back hike in the Lost Brook area of New York, on city-managed land. The route is about 3.6 miles long and gains about 145 feet of elevation in total, so it's a gentle walk with no real climb to it. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in the Bronx show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 66°F, while July highs reach about 86°F and winter lows dip below freezing. The Little Chism Trail (Red) starts just 0.1 mile away, and Haring Rock and the Allison Trail are both within a mile. Inwood Hill Park, a climbing area, lies about 2.6 miles away.
