Blue Trail is a short, easy hike in Oscawana County Park, on county land in New York. The route is about half a mile long, with a total elevation gain of 53 feet, and it is rated easy. The trail is a point-to-point route rather than a loop. The steepest part comes early, at about 0.19 miles in, with a grade of 12 percent. The high point is 106 feet, and the low point is 5 feet, so the trail runs mostly flat with a slight climb and a little more descent. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Shrub Oak show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. Several other trails sit close by. White Trail is about 0.3 miles away, and River View Trail and Tulip Tree Trail are each about half a mile off. For climbing, Blue Mountain Park is roughly 2.6 miles away.
