Bouldering

Cap-Rock Boulder is a bouldering area on Fort Bliss in New Mexico, managed by the Department of Defense. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Long Canyon and South Organs each about 0.1 mile away. The area is all bouldering, with six routes ranging from V0+ to V4, so it works well for a short session of crimping and jamming on the rock. The routes are all boulders, and the grade range runs from the easiest V0+ up to V4. Antidote is a V2, Slice-N-Dice is a V3-, and Currant is the hardest at V4. The closest climbing is Long Canyon, just 0.1 mile off, and South Organs is the same distance. For a longer outing, the Organ Peak Trail is about 1.2 miles away, and Aguirre Spring Recreation Area and Campground is about 2.6 miles away.
