Amole is a climbing area in northern New Mexico, about 4.5 miles from the small community of Guadalupita. It is a traditional climbing spot with five routes, all rated between 5.7 and 5.10b/c on the YDS scale. The routes are listed as trad, and the hardest of them, Finger Puppet, sits at 5.10b/c. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Ocate, about 9 miles away, show May highs around 70°F and October highs around 64°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 10 each month. Coyote Creek, a canoeing spot, lies about 6.5 miles away, and Canones Cr National Recreation offers hiking roughly 8.8 miles off.
