This out-and-back mountain biking route runs about 4 miles round trip, climbing roughly 135 feet from a low point of 7,170 feet to a high of 7,312 feet. It sits on Bureau of Indian Affairs land in western New Mexico, about 4 miles from the town of Pinehill. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 66°F, with July and August bringing the most wet days, about 12 to 13 each month. Several other rides are close by. Nicoll Lake Rd. - BIA 2005 is about 2 miles away, and Indian Service Rd. - BIA 2001 is about 3 miles off. The Mountainview Running Trail, a hike, is about 3.5 miles away, and Jackrabbit Trail is about 5 miles away.
