Indian Service Rd. - BIA 262 is a short, easy mountain biking ride in New Mexico, on land managed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The route is an out-and-back that starts and ends at about 7,449 feet and reaches a high point of 7,481 feet, with a total climb of about 22 feet over its 3.6-mile length. The nearest town is Pinehill, about 8 miles away. The most comfortable stretch for riding runs from late spring into early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 77°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 12 and 13, and temperatures in the mid-80s.
