Santiago Lake is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Pecos Wilderness, part of the Pecos-Las Vegas Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in northern New Mexico. The trail rises from about 10,800 feet to about 11,900 feet, a climb of roughly 1,050 feet over a route of about 2.3 miles. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open from June through September. The Santiago Lake Trail lies about 0.1 mile away, and the Gascon Trail (239) is about 1.2 miles off. Valdez and the North Fork are both within about 1.7 miles. For fishing, Trampas Lakes Fishing is about 8 miles away.
