Ranger Rock Trail is a short, easy loop in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.3 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 48 feet, and it makes a quick stop for anyone already exploring the surrounding area. The route is a loop that starts and ends at nearly the same point, with the high point at 6,412 feet and the low at 6,320 feet. It is a low-effort outing, and the estimated time to complete it is about half an hour. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 68°F, while July and August bring the most wet days of the year. Ranger Station Wall, a climbing area, sits just 0.1 mile away. The Grand Enchantment Trail, the ATV Bypass and the Concrete Trail are all within a mile.
