Pipedream is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Espanola Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in northern New Mexico, about 0.36 miles from the start point. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and covers roughly 0.72 miles, with a total climb of about 539 feet and a steepest stretch of about 16% grade at around 0.14 miles in. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Los Alamos show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 74°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 13 to 14 a month. Several other trails sit close by. Jack's Trail and the Perimeter Trail are each about 0.3 miles away, and Sandia Drive is about 0.4 miles off. Climbers can find the North Rd. West climbing area about 0.6 miles away.
