Milo is a hard hike in the Apache Kid Wilderness, part of the Magdalena Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico. The trail is about 8.3 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 2,181 feet, and it is an out-and-back route. The trail's natural surface and the surrounding wilderness setting make it a serious outing. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail runs from a low point of about 6,978 feet to a high of about 9,082 feet. Several other hikes sit within a couple of miles, including Smith, San Mateo and Maverick. Climbers can find the Upper Park climbing area about 8 miles away.
