The Cdt hike is a short out-and-back on Bureau of Land Management land in the Las Cruces District Office, in southern New Mexico. It is an easy walk, less than half a mile in length, with a low point of 4,714 feet and a high of 4,752 feet, so the climb is only about 23 feet. The most comfortable months are spring and fall. Typical averages from the nearby Deming airport weather station show April highs around 77°F and October highs around 78°F, while June and July average in the mid-90s. Cdt Juu is about 2 miles away. Lover's Leap Canyon Trail and Gap Road Southeast are a little farther, and Lisa Ann Drive is about 6.5 miles out.
