Method Area is a bouldering area within Pawtuckaway State Park in New Hampshire, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, including Rainforest Boulder (Valley Boulders), Warmup Area and Hero Block, all about 0.1 mile away. The area is a bouldering destination only, with 22 routes that range from V0- to V9. The easiest is Stairstep Method, and the hardest is Expanding Man. The median grade is V4, so climbers can find problems at a range of skill levels. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Epping run to highs around 82°F in July, with September still near 73°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 33°F. The Blair Loop Trail and Oak Trail are both within a third of a mile, and the Fundy Trail is about a mile away.
