Pond Loop is a short, easy hike in Monadnock State Park in New Hampshire, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The nearest town is Jaffrey Center, about 2.3 miles away. The route is 0.67 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 11 feet, so it's a gentle walk that can be done quickly or as part of a longer day in the park. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show June highs around 77°F and September highs around 73°F, with July the warmest at about 83°F. Bikes are not allowed on this trail. The Birchtoft Trail and Hinkley Trail both start about 0.6 miles away, and the Harling Trail is about 0.8 miles off. For time on the water, the Contoocook River is about 4.6 miles away.
