The Arêtes, also known as the Road Area, is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Caliente Field Office in Nevada. It sits among several other climbing spots, with The Pyramid (a.k.a. Midway Area), Sandy Cove Area and Rainbow Canyon all about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Elgin weather station show April highs around 72°F and October highs around 77°F, while July averages climb to about 100°F. Meadow Valley Wash, a canoeing spot, lies about 6.3 miles away.
