Lava Butte Wall is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Las Vegas Field Office in Nevada, about 11 miles from the Las Vegas weather station that supplies the area's typical climate averages. The land is managed by the Bureau of Land Management, and the area is known for its trad routes, which range from about 5.2 to 5.9- on the YDS scale. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Las Vegas weather station show March highs around 73°F and October highs around 84°F, while July averages climb to about 106°F. The area has 10 trad routes, with the easiest at 5.2 and the hardest at 5.9-. Some of the named routes are Fletched With Love, Alpine Starter and Fire on the Horizon. The Lake Mead Area climbing area lies about 5 miles away, and the Red Needle Trail is about 1.7 miles off.
