The Hurl is a mountain biking route in Nevada's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office, managed by the Bureau of Land Management. It is an out-and-back ride of about 7.2 miles, with a total elevation gain and loss of about 1,508 feet each way. The climb reaches a high point of about 4,031 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 1 mile in, where the grade reaches 16%. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 75°F and April highs around 70°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The Hurl Trail Connector (N) lies just 0.3 miles away, and Molly's is 0.4 miles off. Hikers can reach the Old Spanish Trail and the Blue Diamond Cave climbing area within about half a mile.
