Wheeler Peak Summit Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Great Basin National Park in Nevada, managed by the National Park Service. The trail is about 2.1 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 449 feet, and it starts and ends at roughly 10,184 feet. The steepest part comes at about 0.49 miles in, with a grade of about 11 percent. The trail is a quick addition to a visit to the park. It begins at Summit Trailhead, about 0.1 mile away, and the Wheeler Peak hike is also close by. There is no fee to use the trail. Nearby, the Alpine Lakes Loop Trail is about 1.1 miles away, and the Bristlecone Trail is about 1.2 miles away. The Glacier Trail and the Osceola Ditch Trail are both within about 2 miles.
