Ranger Trail is a hard hike in the Ely Ranger District of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The trail is an out-and-back route of about 23 miles, with an elevation gain of 1,205 feet, rising from roughly 7,300 feet to about 9,058 feet at its high point. The trail is natural-surface, and it is open year-round. Bikes are allowed. The trail starts in the Ely Ranger District, and the nearest town is Ely. For an overnight stay, East Creek Campground sits about 2 miles away, and Bird Creek Campground is about 4.4 miles away. Several other trails lie within a short distance, including Little Creek Trail, about half a mile away, and Oil Springs Trail, about 3 miles away.
