The Camground Connector Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Great Basin National Park in Nevada, managed by the National Park Service. The trail is about 0.6 miles long, and the round trip covers roughly 1.2 miles with a total elevation gain of about 539 feet. The high point is around 7,518 feet, and the steepest stretch comes near the middle of the route, with a grade of about 12 percent. The trail starts at an elevation of about 7,505 feet and reaches a low point of about 7,247 feet on the way back. The climb is gentle enough to fit into a longer day of hiking in the park, and there is no fee to use it. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 85°F with lows near 58°F, while winter highs sit around 40°F. That station sits about 668 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Several other trails lie within a short drive.
