Amputheater Hill is a cross-country ski route in the Bozeman Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana, about 0.1 mile from Aspen and Roller Coaster. It is an out-and-back course that rises about 42 feet from a starting elevation of 6,112 feet to a high point of 6,160 feet, with the same drop on the way back. The climb is short at 0.2 miles round trip, but it is rated hard. Winter is the natural season for this route. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show January highs around 34°F with lows near 15°F and about nine snowy days. Snow days drop to zero from June through September, when summer highs reach the low 80s. Several other ski routes sit just 0.1 mile away, including Aspen, Roller Coaster and Five Rings. Climbers can head to Wolverine Bowl about 2.1 miles off, and Battle Ridge Cabin offers camping roughly 3.2 miles away.
