.22 Short (Xc) is a mountain biking route in the Hebgen Lake Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana, managed by the Forest Service. It is a short, low-elevation ride, covering about 0.06 miles with a total climb of 16 feet from a starting point of about 6,718 feet to a high point of about 6,726 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 39°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-20s. Several other routes sit within a short distance. Sheppard's Shortcut and Sheppards Shortcut (Xc) are both about 0.2 miles away, and Dougs Doodle (Xc) is a similar distance.
