Petrified Interpretive is a short mountain biking route in the Gardiner Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana, about 0.13 miles long and 35 feet of elevation gain. The Forest Service manages the land, and the ride starts at a low point of about 7,564 feet and climbs to about 7,664 feet. The route is not rated for difficulty, and the steepest stretch, at about 20%, occurs roughly 0.07 miles in. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station in Big Sky run to highs around 78°F and lows near 41°F, while winter highs there stay in the 20s. That station sits roughly 1,074 feet below the route, so expect temperatures on the climb to run cooler.
