Buffalo Horn is a short mountain biking route in Montana's Gallatin Wildlife Management Area, within the Bozeman Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest. The land is managed by State Fish and Wildlife, and the ride covers about 0.34 miles with a total elevation gain of 101 feet, from a starting point of about 7,535 feet to a high of about 7,635 feet. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.25 miles in, where the grade reaches about 9 percent. The route is short enough to fit easily into a day spent exploring the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Big Sky show July highs around 78°F with lows near 41°F, and the station sits roughly 1,000 feet below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Ramshorn Lake is about 0.4 miles away, and Dailey Pass and Tom Miner Divide South are both within about a mile and a half. For an overnight stay, Tom Miner Campground is about 3.4 miles off.
