Hawk Woods Tie is a short mountain biking connection in the Seeley Lake Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The route is only about 0.06 miles long, rising about 15 feet from a starting point of roughly 4,280 feet to a high point of about 4,292 feet. It is one of several trail segments in the Clearwater Canoe Trail system, which runs through the Moose Meadows and Larch Knob areas. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Seeley Lake show July and August highs around 83°F with lows in the low 40s and the fewest wet days of the year. Winter is cold, with January highs near freezing and lows around 12°F. Moose Meadows lies just 0.1 mile away, and Larch Knob and Mountain View are each within about half a mile. For an overnight stay, the Big Larch Campground Complex is about 1.3 miles away.
