Big Larch Nature is a short mountain biking route in the Seeley Lake Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.4 miles long, and it sits at roughly 4,000 feet, with a high point of about 4,010 feet and a low of about 3,996 feet. The route is easy on the legs. The climb adds only about 14 feet over its short length, and the steepest stretch comes near the middle, with a grade of about 8 percent. It makes a quick stop for riders exploring the Seeley Lake area. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Seeley Lake weather station run to highs around 83°F in July and August, with lows in the low 40s and the fewest wet days of the year. Winter is cold, with January highs near freezing and lows around 12°F. Big Larch Campground Complex is just 0.2 miles away, and the Tamarack-Seeley and Tamaracks Trail B mountain biking routes are within a mile. Paddlers can find the Clearwater River about 8 miles away.
