Forest to Foothills is a short mountain biking route in the Missoula Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The ride is about 0.65 miles long, with a one-way climb of 103 feet from a starting elevation of about 3,305 feet to a high point of 3,385 feet. The route has a steepest stretch of about 10% grade at roughly 0.35 miles in. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Missoula airport weather station show July highs around 85°F with lows near 51°F, while winter brings highs in the low 30s and regular snow days from December through February. The route sits among a cluster of trails. Blue Mtn Hiking & Equestrian, Blue Mtn Nrt Cutoff A and Blue Mountain Bike C are all about 0.1 mile away, and Pattee Canyon Picnic Area, about 3 miles off, offers a place to stop for a picnic.
