Wolf Mountain is a moderate hike in the Libby Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, about 5 miles from the town of Libby. The trail is an out-and-back that gains about 1,200 feet, with the low point at roughly 5,700 feet and the high at about 6,500 feet. The route is natural-surface and allows bikes, and it is not an accessible trail. The Forest Service manages the land. For more time on foot, Calx Mountain sits just 0.4 miles away, and Cow Creek is about 2 miles off. Paddlers can head to Wolf Creek, about 8 miles away, and Fairview Ranger Station offers camping within 10 miles.
