Taylor Creek is a 5.6-mile out-and-back hike on natural trail in the West Fork Ranger District of Montana's Bitterroot National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The route rises from about 5,619 feet to about 7,160 feet, with a total elevation gain of 206 feet, and is rated moderate. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Wisdom weather station put July highs around 78°F with lows near 38°F, and the trail sits higher than the station, so temperatures on the ridge run a bit cooler.
