Poe Park is a hard hike in the Townsend Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana, about 6.8 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 904 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, starting and ending at the West Elkhorns GFA - Poe Trailhead CUA parking area, and it is open year-round. The route is natural-surface and allows both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail, so plan for a ride or a pack animal if you need to go beyond the trailhead. The climb takes you from a low point of about 6,557 feet to a high of about 7,538 feet. Hall Creek lies less than a mile away, and Crow Cr Jump Off is about 1.7 miles off. Eagle Guard Station campground is about 2.6 miles away, and the Medicine Hole Wall climbing area is about 8 miles away.
