Pinkham Falls is a short, easy hike in the Rexford Ranger District of Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. The mapped route runs just 0.18 miles on a natural surface, and bikes are allowed. This is an out-and-back walk with very little climbing: about 47 feet one way. The route stays between roughly 3,020 and 3,110 feet in elevation, so the change in height is small over the whole trip. It makes a quick outing rather than a full day's hike. Summer and early fall are the warm months. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Eureka show highs around 77°F in June and about 75°F in September, and August is usually the driest month. That station sits about 580 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures at the trail run a little cooler. Gut Creek Trail is about 1.7 miles away, and Camp 32 is about 2.2 miles away.
