North Fork Tie is an easy hike of about 2.4 miles in the Bozeman Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a one-way climb of about 815 feet, starting at roughly 7,700 feet and reaching about 8,520 feet at the high point. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Bear Basin lies just 0.1 mile away, and North Fork Ridge is about 0.8 mile off. Beehive Peak, a climbing area, is about 3.4 miles away, and the West Fork Gallatin River offers canoeing about 5.1 miles away.
