Dipper is a 4.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Three Rivers Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 180 feet from a low point of 2,305 feet to a high of 2,464 feet, and it is rated moderate. The trailhead is called Dipper TH 704-Southern, and the route is open year-round. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows bikes, and it is not an accessible route. The closest parking is at the trailhead itself, and Yaak Falls Campground sits just 0.2 miles away. Summer is the most comfortable time to go.
